Like all great Canadians Rachel moved south of the border. In 1993 she left Hamilton Ontario, Canada and came to New York City pursuing a career in opera. Rachel's voice was trained at Julliard and Manhattan School of Music, her intellect challenged in the study halls of Columbia University, and her wit sharpened on the stage of The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. Rachel has appeared in a number of Off-Off Broadway performances, a variety of shows at the Upright Citizen's Brigade and PIT theaters and sung in several operas, her favorite being Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” in which she played Zerlina. She currently performs with Neutrino and is writing a blue-grass extravaganza where Judy Blume and Marlon Brando fall in love while Rachel kicks it on accordion. This is her year, she can feel it!
